Junior Chamber JCI Embarks on Re-Establishing Youth Chapter

PHILIPSBURG - Three members of Junior Chamber JCI Senators and two past members will be embarking on re-establishing a youth chapter for the age group 12 to 17

As part of the long range strategic plans and to commemorate JCI 50 years of existence in St. Maarten in one year and a half time, JCI Senators will be re-establishing a JCI Youth Chapter.

JCI St. Maarten was one of the first Leadership training organizations that started on the island on June 20 1960, with it first President the late JCI senator Ben Bernard Vlaun.

Some of the first and most successful projects were their first TV news broadcasting on the island, and first water coolers donated to then schools on the island, with sports like
donkey race etc.

The objective is the establish continuity for the organization.

The benefits of joining the Youth Chapter of JCI leadership, are Personal Development training, Parliamentary Procedure trainings, Public Speaking training, Debating completion training, opportunities to travel and attend the JCI Global Partnership Summit at the United Nations, every year in July.

Opportunities to travel to Countries like Japan, for their annual international Japan Academy Leadership  trainings and World Congresses, this year to be held in the Netherlands and conferences throughout the Region.

International and National Exchange Programs: Youths will become inspired and a better person for our community, by also working on community projects as JCI organization is not a community service organization but leadership development organization.
