Three convicted in Gentlemen’s Club Shooting. Eight-year sentences for two
SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The Court of First Instance in Sint Maarten has delivered its verdict in the case surrounding the fatal shooting that took place on April 13, 2025, at the Gentlemen’s Club in Defiance. The shooting left one man dead. Two of the three defendants, A.M.E.C. and A.A.C., were both convicted of attempted manslaughter, as well as illegal firearm possession. The court rejected their claims of self-defense. Each was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment. M.S. was acquitted of attempted manslaughter. Arrest Team carries out a Search and Arrest a 32-Year-Old. Narcotics, Money & Ammunition Confiscated
SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - On the evening of Tuesday September 9, 2025, personnel of the Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM), under the leadership of the Investigating Judge and the Prosecutor, carried out a search at an apartment on Bush Road. With the assistance of the KPSM Arrest Team, access was gained to the premises. During the search, officers encountered a large quantity of illegal narcotics. The suspect, with the initials R.R.J.A.L.M. (32 years old), was immediately arrested. The search further yielded a significant amount of money and ammunition. Gumbs, announces that the 2% salary indexation funds for teachers in subsidized schools have been transferred to the subsidized schools on Friday, September 5, 2025.
