SINT MAARTEN (SIMPSON BAY-AIRPORT) - Winair continues to reinforce its commitment to regional connectivity with the addition of new services between Barbados (BGI) and St. Kitts (SKB).

This expansion marks another milestone in Winair’s strategic growth, strengthening its presence in Barbados and expanding travel options across the Eastern Caribbean.

The new BGI–SKB route enhances Winair’s existing operations from Barbados, which already include flights to St. Maarten (SXM) and Dominica (DOM). With the addition of St. Kitts (SKB) and the British Virgin Islands (Tortola – EIS), Barbados now connects to four destinations in Winair’s regional network.

“Barbados remains a vital part of our regional footprint,” said Chief Executive Officer, Hans van de Velde. “By adding St. Kitts and Tortola as new destinations from Barbados, we are not only strengthening our presence in Barbados but also making inter-island travel more seamless for our customers.”

New BGI-SKB Service

Winair’s new service between Barbados (Grantley Adams International Airport – BGI) and St. Kitts (Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport – SKB) will operate three times weekly on:

  • Tuesdays
  • Thursdays
  • Saturdays

The new route represents Winair’s continued expansion from St. Kitts, with Barbados becoming its fourth destination from SKB, following established routes to St. Maarten (SXM), Tortola (EIS), and Dominica (DOM).

This further reinforces Winair’s strong position in St. Kitts, with approximately 20 weekly flights connecting to key regional destinations, including St. Maarten, Dominica, and Tortola.

Connecting Barbados to More of the Caribbean

With this expansion, Barbados now connects to two new points in Winair’s network:  St. Kitts (SKB) and the Tortola (EIS)- in addition to existing services to St. Maarten (SXM) and Dominica (DOM). (Passengers will change aircraft in St. Maarten (SXM) for a connection to Tortola).

More Choices for Travelers

The introduction of these services further supports Winair’s mission to enhance regional mobility by offering reliable schedules, convenient connections, and improved access between the Eastern Caribbean islands for both leisure and business travelers.

Tickets are available for purchase through Winair’s website: winair.sx, travel agents, and standard sales channels.
