UWBC holding Sip ‘N Chat for book DEEP on May 28

SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) - The United Women Book Club (UWBC) will be holding a Sip ‘N Chat book launch event, for the book entitled DEEP by author Tashira V.E. Richardson, on May 28, 2022, at Pink Pearl Restaurant #147 Fronstreet, Philipsburg, UWBC said in a press statement on Thursday.

This event will be from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM and admission is free. Food and drinks will be on sale.

According to the President of the UWBC Mrs. Danielle Chance, “Deep is many stories. It is a story of womanhood, motherhood, depression, divorce, widowhood and grief but more importantly DEEP is a story of falling in love with yourself while overcoming every obstacle determined to stop you from reaching your potential. DEEP is a story of victory, of hope, empowerment and encouragement.”

“DEEP is an invitation to a journey to the most beautiful place on earth. A destination too beautiful for the imagination. Deep is a journey back to you authentically,” Richardson adds.

Chance said that members of the general public are invited to come out and support this event and author. This is the first book launch hosted by UWBC. Chance indicated that UWBC is proud to celebrate and support this local author. Copies of DEEP will be on sale and the author will be autographing copies upon request.

The United Women Book Club has been in existence for almost seven years and has over 30 members including a younger division of women from 18 to 35 years. We continue to be a work in progress because it is formed by our own experiences, cultures and diversities while we are promoting reading year round by having two discussions a month, with a rotating roster of hosts also displaying their leadership skill and creativity. We aim to create a community of empowered women by going beyond reading that will empower other women and younger girls who will become aspiring writers.
