Plenary Public session of Parliament about amendments to the Penal Code, Civil Code and to establish a new Code of Criminal Procedure

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The House of Parliament will sit in a Plenary Public session on Friday, October 11.

The Public meeting is scheduled for 11.00 hrs. in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The deputy Prime Minister will be present.

The agenda points are:

  1. Draft national ordinance to amend the Penal Code in connection with the implementation of some urgent international obligations (IS/1165/2018-2019 dated June 12, 2019) (Parliamentary Year 2018-2019-128)
  1. Draft national ordinance establishing a new Code of Criminal Procedure (Code of Criminal Procedure) (IS/1189/2018-2019 dated June 19, 2019) (Parliamentary Year 2018-2019-129)
  1. Draft National Ordinance Amending Book 2 of the Civil Code (Revised National Ordinance Book 2 of the Civil Code) (IS/1190/2018-2019 dated June 19, 2019) (Parliamentary Year 2018-2019-130)

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations. 

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
