Division Labor Affairs & Social Services hosting EXPO on Saturday

SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) —The Social Workers of Division Labor Affairs & Social Services is hosting an Expo under the theme “Golden Years: Improving Quality of Life.” The Expo will be held in collaboration with the White & Yellow Cross Care Foundation and the St. Maarten Seniors & Pension Association.

As part of the celebrations of International Day of Older Persons, the Expo is geared towards the elderly and persons caring for the elderly in their home, neighborhood or community.

Information will be provided on the following:

• Social Services’ Products
• White & Yellow Cross Care Foundation Care Products
• Accessing SZV Services
• Rights of the Insured
• Medical Alert System
• The importance of wills / establishing a power of attorney
• Alzheimer’s Association
• Nutrition
• Burial Insurance (ACU Credit Union / ASKA Insurances)

…& much more.

In addition to the Expo, Boekhoudt Notary will be hosting an information session to attendees on the importance of wills, among other information they deem pertinent for seniors. Q Solution will also be hosting a session to provide information on their Medical Alert System.

Guided tours will also be conducted of the White & Yellow Cross Care Facilities.

The Expo will take place on October 12, 2019 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the St. Martin’s Home, located at St. John’s Rd #6.
