SINT MAARTEN (HARBOR VIEW) - In light of recent publications in printed and online media sites, the Social Economic Council (SER) stands behind the principles of freedom of information, freedom of press, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression, the SER said in a statement on Thursday.
“We value having members within our institution who take the task of engaging regularly in public debate. With this in mind, the SER advisory body would like to make it known that the views expressed in articles and postings are the views of the respective author as private individuals.
“The views presented do not represent the position of the Board, management and staff of the SER, unless otherwise stated so.
“The SER wishes to clarify this for any misinterpretations that may be drawn from the views of persons acting in their private capacities.”
