Final Carnival booth holder meeting on Wednesday night

Final Carnival booth holder meeting on Wednesday night

PHILIPSBURG - All booth holders for Carnival 2015 are invited to a meeting scheduled to be held on Wednesday night, February 25. The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) has labelled the meeting as “very important” and the last one for booth holders before Carnival opens.

The meeting will be held at 7:30pm at the Government Administration Building. Several issues will be discussed that are important for booth holders. Most notably: the payments for their booths which carry a deadline of March 16.

As usual, the SCDF has a long waiting list of persons desirous of operating a booth in Carnival Village. With this in mind, the foundation sticks to its strict deadlines of registration and payment to ensure that it has all 79 of its booths leased out as April rolls around. Failure to meet these deadlines could result in booths being allotted to other persons.

“Besides that, we need them to be up to date on new developments, fire and food safety inspections, the specials that corporate sponsors offer to booth holders ect. This is the last meeting for booth holders before Carnival so it’s important that all make an effort to attend,” the SCDF said. (SCDF)
