SYNOPSIS:
Lingering moisture and instability will cause cloudiness, showers and a chance of thunderstorms particularly during the overnight hours. Persons accessing flood-prone areas should be vigilant. Meanwhile, the Atlantic high-pressure system will maintain a generally easterly wind flow.
Slight to moderate sea conditions will prevail. Additionally, long-period northeasterly swells will continue to impact our coastlines. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to moderate WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 6 feet

Hurricane Melissa remains at a safe distance away from St. Maarten and poses NO DIRECT THREAT to the island.
