BUSH ROAD - On Saturday September 6th at approximately 04.00 a.m. a Philipsburg Police patrol stopped a vehicle with license-plate P-275, in which three men were driving, in the vicinity of Star Mart Gas Station on the Bush.
The officers recognized the driver as D.P. (19) who is not in the possession of a driver’s license. The driver stated that the vehicle belonged to a lady who brought it for repairs to the garage where he works.
He also stated that he did not have permission from the lady to use the vehicle. During a more in depth control of the vehicle the officers noticed that housing for the steering-column was destroyed and there was no key for the ignition.
The driver along with the two passengers were arrested on the spot and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station where they were handed over to the Detective Department. The vehicle in question was also confiscated for further investigation. (Contributed by Police Force Sint Maarten)
